Podcast's Purpose: The purpose of this podcast is to get third grade students excited about what they are learning about for the week.
Podcast's Audience: Terrific third graders
Tools Used to Create and Present this Podcast: I used royalty-free music from Bensound. Music: “Energy”- Bensound.com and Internet Archive (love this site).
I did not use Audacity for recording and audio editing. I found this program quite complex. I opted for my iPhone to record. VLC Media Player from VideoLAN, also proved to be unhelpful for me. For conversion from “m4a” to a mp3, I used Internet Archive. Thank you, Dr. Huett!!! This site was seamless (quick and painless) and your instructional video was a plus! I was able to upload my file and create a code for embedding my podcast on my course page on Weebly. I loved how Internet Archive automatically converted my file into several other files! What a great site!!
Brief Reflection: I found this assignment very helpful and purposeful. I also collaborated with my third grade team to see what they were teaching in their classrooms (we are departmentalized). I wanted to include all of their feedback so that we all could let our students listen to my audio for the upcoming week.

One more announcement, remember to bring back your signed field trip permission slips and monies.
